Our Team
Bloomberg\'s Capital Project team is seeking a Project Manager to support the firm\'s capital projects and improvements undertaken across various locations and offices throughout the APAC region!

The Role
The APAC project management team is looking for a dedicated client-side Project Manager. This is an exciting role within Bloomberg and offers scope for further professional development. In this role you will need to have a high degree of professional knowledge managing a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders and partners. You will be expected to deliver exceptional projects in line with business requirements of quality, time and cost whilst running all related project risks. You need to be able to communicate and articulate the needs of the project and provide accurate reporting to your internal stakeholders, project team lead and senior management.

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery including the development of end-user program requirements and coordination of the occupation of new and refurbished premises (plus decommissioning of the Company\'s current offices). You will also be involved in the due diligence process for review of new premises and assist with future capital planning.

We\'ll trust you to:

  • Provide strong leadership to the internal and external design and construction project team
  • Handle the development of scope narratives, budgets and schedules that will be used to define a project and acquire management approvals
  • Work with Contract Administration and procurement groups to ensure strategic methods are developed and applied for procurement of professional consultants and contractors
  • Ensure Bloomberg company governance and policy is rigorously followed
  • Manage all project meetings including agenda, effectiveness, time, and documentation to ensure key engagement with internal stakeholders
  • Manage all cost management and projects controls processes. Maintain project budget
  • Ensure development and tracking of project baseline critical path schedule is managed and adhered to
  • Manage the construction administration phase to ensure project and contract requirements are being met
  • Develop and assist with all monthly project reporting. Sign off on all financial project reports, invoices, and similar documents
  • Keep ESG front of mind and lead on the establishment of project ESG targets in line with BLP firm wide ESG strategy
  • Travel to locations across the APAC region
You will need to have:
  • A Technical degree in architecture, engineering, design, construction management or similar
  • 10-15 years experience in leading projects of increasing size and complexity and have demonstrated single point of ownership and responsibility for those projects
  • Demonstrated experience in financial project management and governance of single projects greater than $5MM, and/or multiple projects greater than $8MM
  • Experience in design and construction phases of a project including time on site under different stages of construction
  • A broad understanding and depth of knowledge across the various subject areas and topics encountered on an office design and construction project
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, MS Project, or similar industry project management and scheduling software
  • Experience in reading drawings and specifications including architectural, structural, MEP, and IT/Comm
  • Experience in establishing contracts for consulting and construction services, understanding of the various contracting methods and right applications for each method
  • Prior experience in remote delivery of projects of scale, working with culturally diverse teams across Asia
  • Experience in delivering projects in a live corporate fit out environment
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in challenging situations
  • Excellent engagement approach to manage partners and stakeholders
  • Understanding of roles and responsibilities as typically set forth in the industry by SIA and REDAS construction contracts or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated continuous career progression in an organisation

  • PMP accreditation or similar
  • Experience with corporate governance and reporting requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of eBuilder or comparable project management software
  • Scrum accreditation
