Facilities Lead Technician (Night shift)

The Facilities Lead Technician (Night Shift) is a member of the team responsible for the monitoring of the facilities and utilities systems, equipment for building, engineering services and operational manufacturing areas classified as clean rooms and areas requiring professional validation for operation, office & security management of services and processes that support the core business of an organization. The Facilities Lead Technician will ensure effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the organization. This position shall standby and monitoring of the facilities operation and building systems reliability.
Your Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operation of facilities systems and monitor such as Cleanroom and common area HVAC system, DI water, Air compressors, process gas system, security, pest control, building management are in good, healthy, safe to operate.
• Troubleshoot root causes of equipment and rectify/normalize if any breakdown during his duty hours.
• Attend the daily shift handover/takeover meeting daily and follow-up the activities assigned by the Facility System Engineer (mechanical/electrical) and update the daily log sheets about the activities carried-out promptly.
• Perform daily inspection rounds, routine checks and manual data logging for facilities systems.
• Able to catchup the instructions given by Facility Manager and or System engineers.
• Support on the Preventive, Predictive, corrective maintenance and ad-hoc activities during and after working hours as part facilities maintenance programs to maintain system reliability by strictly following the SOPs and highlight if there any issues found as part of escalation.
• Follow-up the workorders and complete the action required to close them on time.
• Must be a technically sounded team player with the self-start attitude.
• Understand the urgency and support to production needs in terms of facility operation readiness.
• Take the ownership for the task assigned and liaise with relevant stakeholder to complete them properly and able to serve all the customers and communicate well within the team.
• Attend and address request/breakdown call from respective departments.
• Maintain good housekeeping in Facilities, ensure good safety practices and safe custody of keys, tools, documentation, equipment and other properties belonging to Facilities.
• To support the drafting of preventive maintenance and operational Standard Operational Plans (SOP’s) and Emergency Operational Plans (EOP’s).
• Provide training and guidance to facilities technicians to achieve department goals for facilities and building systems reliability.
• Monitor and maintain facilities systems and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirement on occupational safety, health and environmental and industry regulations in the facility.
• Support and oversee project management for the manufacturing facility refurbishment, renovations and maintenance records.
• Oversee BMS and RMS (Room monitoring System) and rectify any faults and deviation follow up actions.
• Continue to take over from day System Engineers to ensure vendors and contractors work is completed according to specifications.
• Assist in achieving cost and quality objectives, including energy efficiency optimization at the facility
• Identify and propose utility reduction initiatives.
• Monitor inventory of required spare parts including safety tools.
• Involved in Quality and EHS audits.
• Knowledge on validation procedure.
• Perform other ad hoc maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager and System Engineers.

Your Profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent studies
• At least 5years of work experience related to project management, vendor management building facilities and/or maintenance of manufacturing facility and clean room.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
• UpToDate knowledge of all statutory requirements we shall be required to comply with
• As this is a Mechanical Services (systems) based position, in-depth experience and knowledge including HVAC, Compressed Air, process gases and purified water system is essential.
• Electrical Services (systems) – experience of HV and LV systems and operation there-of would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, SAP and facility related regulatory requirements.
• A team player, able to work hands-on with good interpersonal skills.
• Proactive ‘can do’ approach and able to work under pressure when circumstances require.
• Familiar with FMCS and RMS systems an advantage
• Preferably with FSM or WHSO certification
