This specialty covers all aspects of building safety during event operations. Functions range not only safety but also administration assistance to users of the buildings. Other secondary role includes supervision of renovations or direct services to the buildings, infrastructure, grounds or equipment under the purview of the Facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend to daily facilities support of the operations pre/post event.
  • Assist Facilities Manager in scheduling, reviewing, planning and responsible to reach certain premium standard of building structure and in compliance to safety. Prioritise organisational needs, complaints and work orders. Coordinate with other departments to schedule time frame for completion and schedule work assignments.
  • Inspect building and other structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions and required repairs, and make recommendations of rectification.
  • Assist Facilities Manager to conduct periodical reviews with team members to ensure timely follow-up of service requests, complaints and feedback.
  • Assist Facilities Manager to review and propose measures where necessary in relating to safety, Fire safety, Risk management, compliance of safety by vendors including proper update of CERT documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Assist to develop policies and procedure manuals for building maintenance functions, grounds maintenance and custodial services.
  • Prepare and filing of proper documentation system where necessary.
  • Perform minor maintenance, including but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Higher Nitec in Facilities Management/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Building Management, Building Maintenance or Facilities Management for a commercial building.
  • Able to work shift.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and etc.
  • Possess good communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadline.
