Job Title: Facilities System Engineer
Location: Woodlands, Singapore About the role: The Facilities System Engineer shall be the Subject Matters Expert for the operation and maintenance of both clean and black utilities.With support from Utilities Associate Engineer, he/she will also be responsible to support the continuous operation of:
  • Shared Utilities Operation to provide continuous supply of Steam, Chilled Water, Compressed Air and Electricity Distribution to Takeda and Baxter Healthcare SA.
  • Waste water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in treating waste stream from Takeda and Baxter Healthcare SA.
  • Clean Utilities and Heating Ventilation Air- Conditioning (HVAC) Operations to provide continuous supply of Water Deionize Cold (WDC), Water- For- Injection (WFI), Clean Steam (CS), Compressed Air, Gases for Takeda Manufacturing.
  • Process Glycol chiller operation
How you will contribute:
  • Responsible for developing the required preventive, predictive maintenance and calibration program, and spares identification for clean and black Utilities.
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of corrective, preventive maintenance and calibration of Shared Utilities equipment, periodic inspection to ensure proper operation, and daily check/repairs in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Responsible for leading investigation for deviation raised in EUME and Trackwise in the areas of critical utilities and ensure timely closure.
  • Responsible for executing CAPA and their completion before the committed due date.
  • Daily review and analyze shared utilities trends and identify issues and improvement opportunities proactively as part of the continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible to perform in depth troubleshooting for equipment failure or operation issue that was escalated from Associate Engineer after their frontline troubleshooting.
  • Develop / revise operation and maintenance procedure, risk assessment and equipment LOTO procedure.
  • Plan / review equipment isolation, LOTO and support Permit-to-Work issuance in operation area.
  • Perform equipment operation check after maintenance / repair work prior to returning equipment back to operation (Return to Operation Activities).
  • Provide technical support to Utilities Senior Associate / Associate Engineer through knowledge sharing and training.
  • To support investigate, propose and initiate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) for equipment and process related issues based on root cause analysis.
  • Develop Associate Engineer operation and maintenance task competency with support from System and Reliability Engineer.
  • Lead continuous improvement or asset improvement (eg. energy reduction & CAPS) projects in area of responsibility to ensure they are performed as per planned schedule, within budget, complying to current regulatory and technical requirement.
  • Plan and perform shutdown activities, working / co-ordinate closely with shutdown lead.
  • Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements

What you bring to Takeda: Education and Experience Requirements
  • An Engineering Degree or Diploma with 3-5 years of relevant experience in GMP Utilities Operation.
  • Strong technical and safety knowledge and experience in Utilities or Facilities Management.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships between teams, departments and business units.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work in the face of shifting demands and tight deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement and Project experience.
  • Steam Engineer Class 2.
  • Good writing skills essential for investigations, reports and proposals
