Job Description

• Plan and schedule factory operation (metal works division), estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and prepare reports.
• Overall responsible for the product delivery of factory (metal division) to fulfil the project sites’ requisition
• Responsible for factory’s cost and profitability
• Daily checking on email and Factory Requisition (FR) received, liaise and coordinate with respective project sites on the requisition received
• Study and understand the drawing, provide guidance to the supervisors on the fabrication of item requested by sites, ensure the accurate material measurement/ dimension is received from site before proceed to fabricate the item
• Manage and train metalworks workers to ensure quality work are done and timely completion
• Provide support and advice to project sites on metal works
• Provide estimates of personnel and material required for a job
• Control and reduce the wastage of materials for both factory and site
• Responsible in clearing extra stock in factory (reduce production cost and clear old/ over-ordered stocks)
• Compliance to the factory’s safety procedures, ensure the entire staff/ workers in factory follow the safe work procedures
• Assign workers to jobs, oversee the factory and project site metal work.
• Will be involved in the metal workers' HR related issues (i.e. training, disciplinary, promotion recommendations etc.)
• Experience in stainless steel/ aluminium/ structural steel works
• Has knowledge in machinaries for production
• Has at least 10 years of relevant experience (in construction) and at least 3 years in managerial position
• Has at least manage 50 workers and above
• 5.5 working days
• Renumeration will be dependent on the amount of relevant experience
