Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities1. Prepares the course syllabus and submits to the Dean for approval. Provides copy of the approved syllabus/outline and explains its contents to the students during the first class meeting.2. Provides students with a list of reference materials for the course.3. Explains the grading system for the course.4. Teaches classes according to the approved course syllabus.5. Encourages students to ask questions and discuss openly in the classroom.6. Provides a regular schedule for academic consultation with students of the course.7. Recommends course-related seminars and symposia as necessary that will provide additional learning to the class. Submits a proposal to the Dean to get his endorsement and awaits approval of the AVP for Academic Affairs.8. Prepares draft of the test questionnaires with table of specification for major exams and submits to the Dean for approval. Safeguards the confidentiality of the approved test questionnaire especially during reproduction.9. Encodes the results of the preliminary, midterm and final exam of students in the standard/ appropriate system. Submits printed and duly signed copies of the Report of Final Grades to the Dean and Registrar.10. Keeps the confidentiality of all academic records.11. Recommends to the Dean a substitute teacher when on leave.12. Refers students to the Guidance Office for counseling, as needed.13. Contributes in curriculum development and revision.14. Ensures that IMS and other accreditation standards are being implemented, monitored and documented.15. Performs any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.Job Type: Full-timeEducation:
