Family Teacher (Full-Time role) : $5,000 - $10,000

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Full-Time Family Teacher to support the academic, emotional, and developmental growth of school-aged children in a private household. This role requires close collaboration with schools, tutors, and household staff to ensure a structured, enriching, and well-balanced environment. The ideal candidate will provide individualized academic support (in both English and Mandarin), foster positive daily routines, and promote holistic development through tailored learning and personal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Support

? Monitor and guide the student's academic performance across key subjects in line with their international school's curriculum.

? Provide direct support with homework, projects, and exam preparation to build confidence and independent learning habits.

? Manage all school-related communications, including responding to emails from teachers, liaising with school teachers and tutors to ensure a coordinated learning plan, addressing specific academic needs, and ensuring timely follow-ups on academic matters.

? Design and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans that promote creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

? Support bilingual learning (English and Mandarin) to strengthen academic performance in both languages.

Daily Routine & Child Development

? Coordinate and ensure timely 3pm school pick-ups with the family's personal driver.

? Accompany the child through daily routines, including study sessions, leisure time, and enrichment activities.

? Manage and coordinate schedules for extracurricular classes, social outings, and appointments.

? Supervise and maintain a structured daily routine that balances academics, play, and rest.

? Identify and nurture the child's personal interests and hobbies to encourage a well-rounded development.

? Create enriching learning experiences during travel by sharing knowledge about destinations, local culture, history, and nature to enhance the child's curiosity and global awareness.

Emotional & Cultural Support

? Foster a nurturing, culturally respectful environment aligned with the family's values and traditions.

? Provide emotional support, especially during parental absences, and promote healthy social and emotional growth.

? Use positive reinforcement to encourage responsibility, resilience, and a love for learning.

Household Coordination

? Coordinate with other household staff to maintain a smooth daily routine and ensure the child's environment remains safe, clean, and conducive to learning.

? Regularly update parents on the child's academic progress, developmental milestones, and day-to-day activities.

Requirements

? Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

? Minimum 5 years of teaching or tutoring experience, ideally within an international or bilingual school setting.

? Fluent in both English and Mandarin (as both are key academic subjects).

? Familiarity with Singapore's education system and international school curriculum.

? Passionate about child development, with a patient, caring, and proactive personality.

? Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with both children and parents.

? Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the broader household team.

? Willing and able to travel with the children and family, creating educational experiences during trips and providing consistent support throughout travel periods.

? Able to commit to a 3:00PM - 9:00PM on weekdays & one of the weekends and be flexible to work overtime when needed, particularly for teaching-related responsibilities.
