We are looking to groom a team of Fashion Artisans/Tailors who possess high creativity, energy and take pride in their craft to join our team in Fuchsia Lane. In addition, you will required to service our prestigious clientele with the personalised Fuchsia Lane touch to understand their tastes. Those with leadership abilities/experience will be given opportunities to lead a team.Prior work experience in garment making would be an advantage; Candidates who just graduated or mid career switchers with a passion for sewing will be considered too as training and progression will be providedFuchsia Lane vision is to create poetic Asian Aesthetics while championing Artisanal skills, sustainability and renewing dying crafts. We believe in making our customers feel magical with timeless wardrobe treasures that are painstakingly crafted.You can help and what you do matters here!You will report to the Creative Director.Job Responsibilities: Perform full detailed drafting, cutting and sewing works for both womenswear and/or menswear Inspecting and ensuring that garments are completed per our sewing standards and in good condition prior to delivery to clients and selling Able to design, draft paper patterns and cut fabrics according to paper patterns Able to draft and create paper patterns digitally a bonus Assist the team to set benchmarks in quality sewing standards and brand awareness Servicing our distinguished clientele by taking their measurements accurately for bespoke orders and recommending designs suitable for themWe are looking at Artisans who are: passionate about bespoke tailoring and perfecting fine couture techniques while developing new artisanal methodologies. Able to perform meticulous sewing and alteration techniques (e.g. handling of fine fabrics, sewing of invisible zip, hemming, hand-sewing buttons, sewing of lace applique) willing to go beyond the extra mile and put in the extra hours to ensure the success of fashion shoots and projects through collaborative team work Organised with an eye for detail Able to take ownership and do what it takes to finish beautiful works. Independent yet an effective and trustworthy team player Willing to communicate and learnDesirable skills include: Drafting, Cutting and Measurement skills-accuracy in drafting paper patterns, taking body measurement and cutting precision to achieve minimal error and wastage.Crafting skills - fine stitching skills and comfortable with handling different types of fine fabrics such as silks, laces, chiffons and satins.Creativity - always looking for new ways to solve problems, an interest in fashion trends and good eye on colour tones and fabric compositions.Customer Service - able to articulate well in spoken English and Mandarin and enjoy interacting with clients during appointments to increase the transactional and lifetime value of a clientWhat delights you: A quality "Made-in-Singapore" brand with 14 years history that is still growing and designing beautiful wardrobe treasures for happy customers Pride in creating pieces inspired by our Asian and Peranakan heritage and introducing them to a global audience Working in a beautiful atelier that is fast paced, deadline and customer-oriented but highly rewardingBenefits include salary with incentives, career progression, serving an elite discerning clientele and working alongside a team that is pushing for the highest standards.Our atelier is easily accessible and near Tai Seng and Macpherson MRT Station with a 5-Day Work Week (Tuesday to Saturday)Interested candidates are required to undergo sewing assignments during interview.
