This position will be based in Paya Lebar Singapore.
This new role requires the incumbent to turn data into actionable insights using tools and models from statistics, AI and Machine Learning to enable better decision making.
There will be a need to interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
This includes identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
A collaborative approach is needed to solve business problems using data and analytics.
The role provides an interesting position to get access to various customer behaviors in the SEA region and their complex cargo flows.

Key Responsibilities
The role will be an exciting one , turning data into actionable insights using tools and models from statistics, AI and Machine Learning to enable better decision making. Incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders to translate a business problem to a mathematical problem that can be solved using data and analytics. They gather, analyse, combine and aggregate the data sources required to solve the problem, then develop the appropriate solution and communicate its possibilities and limitations. They are responsible for the quality of the solution, for example prediction accuracy.
Understands the different aspects of the end-to-end model life cycle (problem formulation, exploration, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring).
Has a solid data science skillset and the experience needed to drive the implementation of a solution at any stage of the product life cycle.
We are looking for
- Experience working with data analytics (or completed relevant advanced modules if graduating)
- Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining, database design development
- Knowledge of statistics and some experience using statistical packages for analysing data sets
- Strong
analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy - Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Self-motivated, result-oriented individual with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills: multi-tasking, prioritizing and planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
