Job Description


Key Responsibilities

Credit Analysis and Approval Process:

- Undertake in-depth counterparty and industry credit risk analysis covering bank and non-bank financial institution counterparties.

- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, refinancings and annual reviews within required timelines.

- Liaise with front office on clients\xe2\x80\x99 strategy and limit requirements.

- Review & recommend credit terms for loan agreements, ISDA, CSA, GMRA & related documentation.

- Review & recommend Financial Market & Transaction Services trade requests for credit approval.

- Actively engage in constructive dialogue with FI/FM Risk.

- Work closely with outsource partners to prepare the final credit pack and risk ratings.

- Complete annual reviews and monitor covenant compliance and termination events (if any) for existing lending transactions.

Credit origination and execution:

- Proactively initiate client meetings as appropriate and follow up on business opportunities and client queries with the relevant product areas and ING offices.

- Building up sector expertise in the assigned portfolio and this would include building up the requisite sector and industry information in the relevant market.

- Map out new clients / products opportunities and cooperate closely with various ING teams (FI Coverage, Financial Markets, Insurance sector financing, FI advisory, Debt Capital Markets, M&A, Syndication, etc\xe2\x80\xa6) and other ING offices where applicable to initiate new FI loans.

- Coordinate and take the lead with internal stakeholders to meet strategy and revenue targets.

- Working closely with FI coverage team on the preparation of proposals, and term sheets.

- Drive the loan documentation process with Legal counsel (if applicable).

- Keep up to date with ING policies and procedures.

Personal Skills

Degree in Finance, Accounting or other business-related fields

Min. four years of quantitative experience

Robust analytical skills: strong attention to details and ability to notice discrepancies in data.

Excellent understanding of the credit/loan process and loan documentation

Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment with a high level of initiative and common sense.

Strong team player: Ability to cooperate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Bilingual (English/Mandarin) - Ability to analyse financial statements and review documents presented in Chinese (particularly for counterparties in North Asia) hence proficiency in Chinese language is preferred.
