Field Service Engineer
to support their operations in the medical technology space.
This is a hands-on, field-based role providing critical technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced medical and analytical instruments.
You will act as the vital link between the customer and internal support teams, ensuring equipment is fully functional and service levels exceed expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies that support life sciences and healthcare advancements.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver timely on-site technical support to customers, Field Applications Scientists/Specialists, and Territory Account Managers
Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain complex medical and scientific instrument systems
Maintain up-to-date knowledge using service manuals, SOPs, Field Service Bulletins, and support remote connectivity
Manage and control service inventory to ensure first-time fix performance
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support system placements, contract renewals, and promotional efforts
Build strong relationships with key clients to support the success of their systems
Provide resolution for technical issues while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
Perform qualification and validation procedures at customer sites
Coordinate and execute new system installations, including facility readiness assessments
Participate in team projects to support continuous improvement and innovation
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechanical, or related disciplines)
Experience servicing medical devices or analytical/laboratory instruments
Exposure to optics and laser-based equipment is advantageous
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Basic knowledge of laboratory best practices and safety protocols
Understanding of genomics, sequencing technologies, or bioinformatics is a plus
Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence
Willingness to travel for on-site support, installations, and training
