Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and solutions-driven Service Engineer to join our growing technical support team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of precision manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance at customer sites. You'll work closely with clients, engineering teams, and product specialists to deliver high-quality service and technical support across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, calibration, and commissioning of automated equipment at customer facilities. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to equipment performance, system controls, or process integration. Provide scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to breakdown service requests. Collaborate with engineering teams to execute system upgrades, retrofits, or performance enhancements. Act as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing concerns, offering solutions, and building trust. Document service activities, maintain service logs, and provide timely reports to both internal teams and customers. Support product testing, benchmarking, and new application trials both in-house and on-site. Train customers on equipment operation, care, and basic troubleshooting. Ensure all service work complies with safety standards and quality protocols.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field). 3+ years of experience in equipment servicing, preferably in the semiconductor, automation, or electronics industry. Familiarity with Pick & Place systems, robotics, motion controls, or epoxy dispensing is highly advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on and technically competent. Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric mindset. Willingness to travel frequently, including short-notice assignments. Able to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple service tasks efficiently. Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and observing EHS standards. Flexibility to support after-hours or weekend service when necessary.
