Job Description

As a Field Technical Support Engineer, you will be based on customer (airline) site and provide daily technical support to customer on complex aircraft systems (Wheels & Brakes, Hydro-mechanical Syste As a Field Technical Support Engineer, you will be based on customer (airline) site and provide daily technical support to customer on complex aircraft systems (Wheels & Brakes, Hydro-mechanical Systems, Electric/Electronic Systems). You will also play a key role in gathering operational data and technical information used for investigation and root cause analysis linked to Safran LS products. . Provide technical support to customer's repair workshop: troubleshooting issues faced by workshop technicians/engineers on Safran products (wheels & brakes products, test bench and tooling) . Perform detailed technical investigation on the field (workshop, aircraft) in case of product failure / damage / or any technical issues. Perform samplings and inspections on Safran LS products. . Produce accurate technical reports and communicate findings internally to local or overseas Safran LS teams (product support / design office) as part of technical investigations. . Obtain required information from various customer parties (workshop technicians/engineers, airline's engineering or procurement departments, etc) . Analyze daily Airline Fleet Maintenance Debriefs / Technical Logs, record and follow up on events linked to SafranLS products. . Keep track of equipment removals and associated information (aircraft/position, configuration, PN/SN, fault messages, FC/FH, repair orders, shop findings reports, reliability, etc) Additional activities / description: . Solve logistics issues on site (part shipments, etc) . Liaise with Safran LS back office based in France as part of investigations and root-cause analysis. . Other activities as assigned . You will need to acquire a good knowledge of Safran LS products via OJT and formal trainings . Follow Safran and customer HSE guidelines while on site (workshop, hangar, aircraft) . You will be based at customer site (Changi airport) Requirements: . Master Degree in Engineering . At least three (3) years of Experience in a technical role in Aviation / Aircraft Systems or related field . Good knowledge and interest in mechanical / hydraulics / electrical systems . Hands-on experience in repair workshops (MRO) / on aircraft / or industrial environment preferred . Customer oriented mindset - Willing to continually improve & drive customer satisfaction . Pragmatic, versatile. Able to solve issues on-site (repair workshops, aircraft, warehouse, etc) . Self-motivated, able to work in autonomy with limited supervision, as well as in teams (local and remote) . Excellent interpersonal skills - Able to create good working relationship with customer while representing Safran LS interests . Able to hold complex technical discussions with customer confidently, and accurately report any issues faced . Innovative mindset - Able to propose and/or implement continuous improvement solutions spontaneously . Fluent in English (French is a plus)
