Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that financial reporting complies with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, the bank's accounting policies, and local statutory and MAS regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, NOSTRO accounts reconciliation, and OPEX processes.
• Review and enhance workflows and internal controls while maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors regarding audit matters.
• Manage the Accounts Team to ensure timely delivery of management reporting, local financial and regulatory reporting, and statistical surveys.
• Prepare tax computation schedules, verify tax calculations, coordinate with tax agents on the branch's corporate tax, and address queries from the Comptroller of Income Tax.
• Familiar with MAS reporting; review MAS reports prepared by the team and draft responses to queries raised by MAS.
• Check daily management reports and conduct thorough financial analysis of the branch's performance.
• Participate in system development and enhancement projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Finance & Accounting preferably with CA qualification.
• Minimum 6 years financial and accounting experience in banks.
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, management of financial and regulatory reports, and a comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting functions.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Efficient and accurate in task completion.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities as required.
• Preparing reports in Chinese and corresponding with colleagues in China.
