The Role
You will be the backbone of our financial department, managing the
full spectrum of accounting functions
and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance with Singapore's tax laws. This is a standalone, hands-on role perfect for a detail-oriented professional ready to take full ownership of the company's accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Full Set of Accounts:
Manage and maintain the
full set of accounts
(GL, AR, AP) for the company, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time
Month/Year-End Closing:
Execute timely and accurate
month-end and year-end closing
procedures, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Financial Statements:
Prepare and analyze monthly
management reports
and
financial statements
for review by management
Audit & Liaison:
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries to ensure a smooth annual audit and compliance process
2. Compliance & Taxation
GST Filing:
Prepare and submit accurate
Quarterly GST returns
in accordance with IRAS regulations
Statutory Compliance:
Ensure all accounting practices adhere to the relevant
Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
and corporate regulations
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage the company's cash flow and banking relationships
3. Budgeting, Analysis & Operations
Cost Management:
Track and analyze expenses, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
Operational Support:
Assist in general administrative and operational duties as needed, ensuring seamless business continuity
Invoicing & Collections:
Manage the
Accounts Receivable (AR)
function, including generating invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, and managing client collections
Who We Are Looking For
Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
managing a full set of accounts, preferably within an SME environment in Singapore
Mandatory:
Strong, practical knowledge of
Singapore GST laws
and the
Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality
