Job Summary:

This is a 6-month temporary contract role. This role involves working as part of the Finance Operations team where you will be reporting to the Assistant Finance Operations Manager. You will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. The primary role is responsible for performing finance operations activities for Singapore & Hong Kong offices.

Job Duties:

• Prepares commission & facultative reinsurance payments
• Performs receipts allocation for collection through payment gateways
• Ensure all cashbooks are updated timely & accurately
• Ensure reinsurance treaty contracts are rendered timely and accurately
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and accounted for
• Handle internal & external stakeholders' enquiries, resolving disputes arises from day to day operations
• Provide support to assistant finance manager in terms of finance operational activities, including internal/external audits, ensuring internal controls/SOX are in place
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• Hold at least a Diploma in Finance or Accounting
• At least 2 years in Finance Operations environment with previous working experience in Insurance industry an advantage
• Excellent PC skills with a good working knowledge of Excel. Experience with SUN system will be an advantage
• Experienced in handling volume transactions with manual processes
• Must be a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Hands-on, meticulous, and possess a positive attitude
• Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Strong aptitude for learning new technology and business/accounting procedures
