Job Description

Finance Associate

Key Responsibilities



The Finance Associate is responsible for the daily financial operations.

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

Manage the

full set of accounts

for the firm (General Ledger, Trial Balance, etc.). Prepare and process

Accounts Payable (AP)

, including vendor invoices, payment runs, and expense claims. Manage

Accounts Receivable (AR)

, including invoicing clients for services rendered, monitoring collections, and following up on overdue payments. Perform

bank and other reconciliation

activities monthly to ensure data accuracy. Assist in the preparation of

internal financial statements

and

management reports

for senior leadership review.

Taxation and Compliance (Internal):

Handle the computation and preparation of the firm's own

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

returns for quarterly filing with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). Assist in the preparation of data for the firm's

Corporate Income Tax (CIT)

filing. Ensure all financial activities comply with

Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)

and local regulatory requirements (ACRA, IRAS).

Budgeting and Analysis:

Assist in the annual

budgeting

and

forecasting

process for the firm's departments. Monitor financial performance against the budget and highlight significant variances to management.

Audit and Support:

Act as a key liaison for the firm's

external auditors

during the annual audit process by preparing necessary schedules and documentation. Maintain well-organised physical and electronic filing of all financial and accounting records.

System and Process Management:

Utilise and maintain the firm's internal

accounting software

(e.g., Xero, QuickBooks). Identify opportunities to streamline and

automate internal finance processes

for greater efficiency.

Job Requirements & Qualifications



Education:

A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g., partial ACCA qualification).

Experience:

Relevant practical experience in handling full sets of accounts, preferably within the accounting or professional services industry.

Technical Skills:

Solid knowledge of fundamental

accounting principles

and Singapore statutory compliance requirements (SFRS, IRAS). Proficiency in

Microsoft Office applications

, particularly

MS Excel

. Familiarity with common accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.

Essential Attributes:

Meticulous

attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy. Strong

organizational

and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently. Excellent

written and verbal communication

skills for internal and external correspondence. A proactive, positive, and collaborative

team-player

attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $1,712.79 - $5,336.58 per month
