Finance Business Partner, ASEAN based in Singapore/MalaysiaLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The ASEAN cluster is a vital part of Emerging Markets region, and it covers 3 Direct Markets (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia) and several more Indirect Markets (Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and more) with significant growth potential.In this role, will work as a part of a cross functional leadership team to drive business performance, by combining knowledge of the Smith & Nephew commercial environment with insights from financial analysis. The roles span across all Business Units - Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, and Advance Wound.By combining finance expertise with business acuity, as a Finance Business Partner will constructively challenge the business and provide valuable insight to ensure efficient decision-making outcomes. This includes evaluating investment opportunities, identifying efficiency and cost improvements and identifying and mitigating commercial risk.What will you be doing?Financial Performance Management- Promote action on commercial opportunities and risks that impact financial performance (based on analysis of performance indicators aligned to business strategy).Decision Support- Discuss forward looking and actionable financial insights, and drive financial decisions that sustain market share, support growth, and enable the allocation of resource to strategic priorities.Business Strategy, Planning and Forecasting- Deliver commercially focused challenge to business leaders that help them to set appropriate performance targets, backed up with action plans.Influence the business and its functional collaborators to ensure rigor in decision making. This will involve providing commercial and financial insight in many areas of the business including, but not limited to, sales force efficiency, customer and portfolio profitability, asset efficiency, pricing strategy and commercial risk management.Identify, lead and drive innovation and change initiatives in the organization. Support the business and its functional collaborators in the implementation and monitoring of business initiatives.Partner with the business or its functional customers to manage external relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring efficient commercial outcomes for the business.Contribute to process improvement and efficiency within the Finance function.What will you need to be successful?Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:Finance degree, preferably MBA or post-graduate certification.A minimum of 8 years proven experience gained in either a practice environment and/or a large corporate Finance function.Experience and background in healthcare/life sciences is preferable but not mandatory.Experience in participating in Go-to-Market transformations will be a plus.You.
