Our client in financial services is seeking an accomplished

Senior Business Partner

to lead the cost function and oversee a team of business partners supporting key

corporate services functions

including COO, Finance, HR, Risk & Compliance, and Projects.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of business partners supporting corporate services. Provide strategic direction and ensure consistent, high-quality financial partnering across all functions. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture that promotes cross-functional engagement and accountability.

Business Partnering

Serve as the senior finance partner to executives across COO, Finance, HR, Risk & Compliance, and Projects. Drive ownership and accountability for cost performance, ensuring financial insights underpin strategic and operational decisions. Provide constructive challenge and objective advice to leadership, balancing business priorities with financial discipline.

Cost Management & Control

Lead the end-to-end cost management process, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and forecasting. Work closely with procurement, finance operations, and regional teams to ensure efficient and accurate cost governance. Identify and implement actionable cost control measures to enhance return on investment and operational efficiency. Maintain transparency and integrity in cost reporting and decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Singapore office and corporate services functions. Deliver insightful management reports, variance analyses, and forward-looking financial commentary to senior leadership. Identify risks and opportunities and recommend proactive measures to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial performance.

Projects & Change Initiatives

Provide financial oversight and governance for strategic projects and transformation initiatives. Ensure robust cost tracking, ROI evaluation, and alignment of project outcomes with organizational objectives.

Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional qualification (CPA, CA, CFA, or CIMA) preferred. Minimum

12 years of experience

in FP&A, business partnering, or cost management, ideally within

financial services or asset management

. Proven experience leading teams of finance professionals or business partners. Demonstrated success in cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior executives. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools such as

Power BI, Power Query, or Alteryx

are highly desirable.
