The Role
We are looking for a seasoned, proactive, and strategic Finance Director to oversee Finance Operations across the APAC region. This leadership role will involve driving excellence in finance processes, managing core operations, and serving as a strategic connector between finance and other key functions. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Data, Product, Legal, Compliance, and HR, to facilitate seamless execution of business and financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in financial institutions, as well as a strong foundation that includes Big 4 audit experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations teams across various locations within the Asia-Pacific region.
• Ensure the accurate preparation of financial reports that comply with relevant accounting standards and local legal requirements.
• Maintain compliance with local tax regulations, reporting guidelines, and regional regulatory standards.
• Manage external audit processes and coordinate with auditors to uphold financial and regulatory quality.
• Develop and implement financial strategies for the region, supporting leadership teams in strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
• Design financial models and analytical frameworks to evaluate opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Introduce improved financial systems and processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, while strengthening internal controls for reporting and cross-border transactions.
• Promote automation and process enhancements to strengthen financial governance and support organizational growth.
• Recruit, mentor, and oversee a skilled finance team in the region, fostering professional development and a focus on achieving team goals.
• Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the finance function.
• Stay informed on regional financial policies and updates within innovative markets.

Your Profile

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in financial leadership, ideally within cryptocurrency, fintech, Tech or financial services sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, digital asset accounting, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency markets.
• Expertise in IFRS and other region-specific financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) and experience with automation tools.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence across organizational levels.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience managing multi-currency operations and intercompany transactions.
• Proven capability to lead and develop teams across multiple locations.
