THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in Singapore, we are working with a leading and progressive real estate company. As part of the expansion of the business, we are seeking a Finance Manager/Sr Manager with prior experience in group consolidation within the real estate or property development industry.

Reporting to the VP of Finance in the HQ, here is a brief overview of what the role:

• Preparing SGX quarterly and half-yearly financial statements
• Prepare annual reports and consolidated financial statements
• Consolidate and report financials according to external/internal requirements monthly for the groups and sub-groups
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of group closings
• Control the financial consolidation system and regulatory reporting effectively
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting, while complying with IFRS/SFRS, statutory, tax and audit requirements, as well as SGX listing rules
• Preparation and review of the Group's annual forecasts and budgets
• Communicate with business units and internal/external auditors regarding audit and accounting issues
• Ensure that the group accounting policies are reviewed and updated
• Stay abreast of new technical accounting, reporting and regulatory issues and train finance personnel in business units on new requirements arising from them
• Assured that the financial users are trained on the financial consolidation system
• Implement systems on an ad-hoc basis, such as system implementation projects
• Assist the Group with its annual insurance renewal and insurance claims
• Providing management reporting and ad hoc project support as needed
• Support the Head of Finance with administrative and strategic tasks

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification
• Having at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing, including 3-5 years of managerial experience and group financial reporting experience
• Ideally, with 4-5 years' experience in Big 4 audit firms or SGX-listed companies (minimum mid-cap size)
• Experience in real estate industry, finance consolidation scope and IFRS/SFRS
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage different stakeholders
• Expertise with Cognos controller software preferred
• Available asap or in short notice period is a great advantage
