The CompanyMy client is a key leader in its industry, currently hiring a motivated and technically competent Accounting talent to oversee a Singapore finance portfolio.

Requirements

• Degree qualified with more than 10 years of commercial sector experience. Prior Big 4 experience will be advantageous.
• Must have experience in Asset Heavy industries and is familiar with the following:

• FRS 116 (leases)
• Fixed assets (including pre-and-post construction stages)
• Impairment test (at CGU level)
• Technically competent - strong experience in overseeing end to end Accounting process, ability to be hands-on, comfortable with journal entries and able to drive improvement and automation initiatives
• Traits: Hardworking, adaptable, proactive, detailed, energetic, loves challenges, has good engagement skills and confident to present to senior management
• Team management experience

Budget S$9,000 - S$9,500 per month + Bonus Job ScopeReporting to the Finance Director, you will manage the full spectrum of Financial Accounting responsibilities. The portfolio includes managing monthly financial close, preparation and review of journal entries, financial reports and GL accounts reconciliations. You will ensure compliance with statutory requirements as well as to company accounting procedures and policies. You will be a finance technical expert with good SFRS knowledge and provide accounting guidance to the team. You will also oversee audit and tax requirements, ensuring statutory filings are completed on time. There is some involvement in overseeing variance analysis, weekly flash reports, forecasting and actuals versus budgets, as you work closely with a separate FP&A team.

You will oversee and drive process streamlining, automation and system enhancement initiatives, as well as aspects relating to governance and internal controls.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you need to be equipped with strong Finance & Accounting technical skillset as well as the ability to be hands-on. You will be comfortable in handling voluminous journal entries at month end and assist with posting of entries where required.
