Position Overview

This position is a vital component of the finance operations team, tasked with the supervision and administration of particular financial activities and procedures aimed at achieving precise and efficient financial operations. Success in this role necessitates a robust foundation in finance or accounting, exceptional analytical capabilities, adept conflict resolution skills, and a profound comprehension of financial operations and industry best practices. Role & Responsibilities

Statutory Reporting, Treasury, and Asset Management, Closing Tasks

  • Compile, assess, and disseminate financial reports, statements, and analyses to facilitate senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies in their decision-making processes.
  • Guarantee adherence to tax regulations and maintain compliance with GST requirements and asset management policies.
  • Supervise cash flow, oversee working capital, and maintain an adequate liquidity position for daily operations.
  • Simplify the management of cost centers and enhance data management.
Effective Governance, Compliance, and Internal Controls
  • Guaranteeing adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and pertinent regulations.
  • Implementing and overseeing internal controls to secure compliance with financial regulations, deter fraud, and protect company assets.
  • Collaborating with auditors during financial and internal audits, and ensuring alignment with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Improving and extending the Corporate Operating Policy.
Risk Management and Reserve Management
  • Detect and alleviate financial risks by means of analysis, planning, and the adoption of appropriate strategies.
  • Establish and reinforce the framework for controlling reserves.
Financial Processes, Process Enhancement, and Documentation
  • Formulate, execute, and oversee efficient financial processes and workflows to guarantee the prompt and accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Identify prospects for optimizing financial operations, enhancing efficiency, and cutting costs. Implement best practices and automation where relevant.
  • Document processes to create and maintain records of financial processes, policies, and procedures for consistency and accountability.
  • Standardize and digitize operations (e.g., staff claims).
  • Rationalize and standardize data management.
  • Analyze financial data to offer insights into financial performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Cultivating and sustaining connections with internal stakeholders, external collaborators, and financial institutions to advance the company\'s financial goals.
  • Supervise 1FSS (Shared services); Guarantee the precise and punctual handling of payments and invoices.
Requirements
  • Only Singaporeans
  • A solid academic background, with a degree in Accountancy or an ACCA qualification, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, ideally within an IT organization or with auditing experience at a prominent Big 4 firm.
  • Familiarity with SAP is considered advantageous.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities: Demonstrates a capacity to thoroughly analyze data, detect inconsistencies, and formulate effective solutions to rectify errors.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels within the company.
  • Appreciates the significance of data and possesses analytical skills to facilitate the creation of data-driven reports.
  • Exhibits a strong curiosity to acquire insights into business operations, objectives, strategies, processes, and information flow.
  • Technically proficient and hands-on in operational aspects.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, high motivation, and adaptability to swiftly respond to dynamic changes.
