Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to Senior Finance Manager – General Ledger and the incumbent will be responsible to manage the overall month end closing for a multiple countries or markets, mainly focusing on SEA markets, Korea, Australia, New Zealand & Vietnam:

  • Demonstrate leadership and oversee the overall delivery (i.e. accuracy and quality) of the overall financial accounting & reporting. Perform final review and approval of overall end to end process & its quality
  • Establish and approve reporting and close calendar, milestones and measures
  • Act as the owner of preparing financial statement & external reporting up to local statutory requirement after final review
  • Monitor updates in accounting standards / legislation on reporting and create awareness among the team
  • Able to interpret and apply implications of new accounting standards / legislation, global business transactions, corporate restructuring and business issues and results etc., to financial reporting
  • Actively search for opportunities to strengthen controls in CHANEL’s systems and work processes. Advise business partners on key controls and review processes in case of control deficiencies
  • Develop mitigation plans for identified risks, communicate and gain alignment among internal stakeholders. Monitor and ensure mitigation plans and business continuity plans are deployed by stakeholders
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with financial and operational systems and their interdependencies including their functionality, workflows, automated controls, and associated facilitation of data consolidation, reporting, and robust analytics
  • Able to identify and articulate process inefficiencies and redundancies before RPA implementation

Academic/Professional Qualifications
  • University degree
  • CPA/CA/ICAA or equivalent

Work Experience
  • Minimum 6 years working experience, inclusive of 2 years of managerial experience
  • Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
  • Worked in Shared Service Center is an advantage
  • Solid expertise / operational know-how of all finance processes (AP, AR, GL, inventory accounting, etc) and understanding of market specificities
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin is a must
