Job Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for review of various tax documentations, recording, summarizing and providing reports to the Tax Compliance and Control Manager particularly for all types of taxes and input tax PNG project.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Generate periodic financial reports (sourced from books) for review of top management.2. Prepare tax returns and supporting attachments for lodgement to IRC.3. Consolidate records and documents for PNG tax reporting requirements.4. Provide strong support to Finance Managers on coordination with PNG banks and PWC on bank matters and financial/tax advisories.5. Oversee ad monitor bookkeeping and expense payment processing of NG related transactions to ensure compliance with standard turnaround time.6. Perform review of accounting entries/transactions to ensure compliance to company's finance policies, GAAP applicable local regulations/standards.7. Perform review of expense documents for PNG tax comment purposes and journal entries.8. Prepare reconciliation of PNG tax comment purposes and journal entries.9. Monitor cash movement of PNG bank accounts, perform bank recon and prepare necessary reports for FCA.10. Oversee the maintenance of the storage of docs or filing system for PNG related transaction.11. Oversee performance of duties of PNG Finance Assistant to ensure compliance with accounting controls, policies and procedures.12. Monitor cash transactions of PNG Finance Assistant on a daily to ensure timely replenishments of Petty Fund.13. Perform review of petty cash and cash advance liquidation reports to ensure compliance to company's finance policies.14. Perform review of payment voucher and corresponding checks and fund transfer details for PNG related transactions to ensure correct payment to supplier/payees.Qualifications:BS in Accountancy or Financial ManagementMinimum two (2) years' experience, preferably with background in basic taxesJob Type: Full-timeSchedule:
