It is an opportunity for a Finance Ops Manager to provide support on their system migration projects

Responsibilities
Responsible for remediating issues arising from balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation review.
Work with various stakeholders in ensuring the quality of data that flows into the general ledger.
Support the VP to collaborate with Operations and other impacted stakeholders to implement processes to support embedding of FLOD (First Line of Defense) roles and responsibilities.
Collaboration with the Finance Management team to understand the risks involved and support the Assurance Reviews accordingly to ensure there is coverage of key controls.
Supporting the VP to improve the overall monthly financial closure process, improving month end JE controls and identify opportunities to reduce the time taken.
Support new policy administration system (PAS) integration to GL. UAT results review and highlighting the finance operations process gaps, controls findings and get the issues corrected/addressed through the project team.
Evaluate the changes to the finance operations process due to the new policy administration system (PAS) integration to GL and update the SOPs and manage the change with the BAU team.
Direct control oversight relating to premium, policy related transactions process improvements and controls.
Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls, document, get necessary approvals and implement.
Support the Implementation of end user controls (EUCs) cand maintain the annual controls.
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of finance operations experience with a finance qualification.
Experience in insurance industry or financial services industry preferred.
Understanding of the relevant finance risk management framework, including operational risk policies, SOX framework and knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector.
Ability to provide structure and solutions to problematic areas, to challenge information presented, providing explanations to ensure that agreement is reached by operations and finance.
Ability to multitask and manage various stakeholders as well as competing deadlines.
Have good knowledge and hands-on experience in managing ERP or GL system change is a distinct advantage.
