Role Overview
The Finance Systems Lead is a key role within our Global Technology Organisation and will lead the Finance Systems team under the Business Applications technology pillar. He/she will be responsible for the end-to-end management and operations of Finance application systems, including our SAP ERP systems. This position will lead a team of IT professionals, collaborate with key business stakeholders, and manage vendor relationships to ensure successful delivery and support of application solutions.
Role Responsibilities

• Lead the overall SAP application strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology roadmap, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategies for the continual improvement and optimization of Finance Systems, evolving with business needs.
• Ensure that SAP applications integrate effectively with other enterprise systems and technologies.
• Manage a team of SAP professionals, including functional and technical specialists.
• Oversee the successful execution of SAP implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Partner with key business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into SAP application requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors, third-party consultants, and service providers, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to contract terms.

• Stay up-to-date with SAP developments, new products, and best practices, evaluating new features or tools that could enhance system capabilities.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for the SAP application landscape, ensuring compliance with internal policies and best practices.
• Monitor system performance and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and effective.

Education Qualification
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing SAP applications.
• Proven experience in SAP ERP systems (S/4HANA, ECC) implementation and support.
• Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale enterprise technology projects.

Professional Accreditations
PMP, ITIL and SAP certifications are beneficial
Professional Knowledge/ Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA FICO, SD, MM and PS modules as well as Fiori, ABAP and BASIS.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices and methodologies such as Activate and Clean Core, and broad knowledge across SAP products such as BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Group Reporting, Concur etc.
