About the Team PwC SEAC’s Management Consulting practice provides a combination of business and technology advice from strategy to execution and helps solve our clients’ most complex business challenges. The Finance capability supports our financial services clients in their Finance Transformation journey to build high performing finance functions to release time and people from transactional work to perform value adding activities whilst maintaining an optimised control environment. Our focus areas are Finance Vision & Strategy, Finance Transformation, and Enterprise Performance Management. About the Role Contribute to our growing market offering across South-East Asia through the application of your data management expertise and skills, particularly within the Financial Services Industry:-

• Develop and maintain enterprise finance data/finance solution architecture model for our financial services clients, including banking, insurance and assets management
• Provide oversight, domain and solution expertise to on-going projects and ensure projects are implemented on time and well executed within project timeline
• Analyse, formulate and propose finance solutions architecture for clients, including data strategy, data governance, infrastructure, principles, quality and certification expertise
• Lead and drive the implementation of the solutions
• Demonstrate strong communication skills that help our clients create business value from data insights, and how digitalisation can help bring in the growth and opportunities from finance perspective
• Contribute to the growth, training and development of the team
• Lead internal innovation for data and digital assets
• Support partners in business proposals and discussions with potential clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project implementation
• Identify business opportunities with clients and drive the initiatives

About you You are likely to be a data architect with the following key attributes:

• Degree in Accounting, Information Technology or Computer Science related discipline from a reputable University, with strong skills and experience in both finance operations and finance data, including data warehousing, data flow and solutions architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including Consulting background with demonstrated skills in managing projects and communicating effectively with clients and teams; or otherwise with industry experience in the IT function with a data engineer, data modeller or similar role.
• Proven ability to collaborate with various project stakeholders
• Candidates must have significant practical project experience (professional, academic or personal) in lead data architect roles, able to demonstrate the following skills:
  • Full lifecycle experience of scoping, managing and delivering data architecture solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, GCP or similar)- leading teams of data architects, data visualisation developers and data engineers to create modeling solutions which drive value;
  • Strong commercial awareness through a deep understanding of finance requirements in financial services industry, wider market trends and how data modelling can be used to develop sustainable value from finance to support the business growth;
  • Experience of product or tech selection at project / enterprise level - able to clearly and confidently articulate the return on investment and benefits of each vendor to client stakeholders;
  • Knowledgeable on the relevance and importance of finance solution architecture, data strategy, data governance, data lineage, data quality, and master data management to data architecture in a modern data platform;
  • A track record of delivering quality engagements for clients whilst establishing and growing productive partnerships with internal or external clients;
• Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft SSIS, SQL/Data Warehouse, ETL, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory and/or similar tools are essential.
• Good exposure and understanding of modern Application development practices and environments e.g. Cloud, SDLC, Agile, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Design expertise in core data architecture disciplines including data modelling, metadata management, data migration and master data management
• Well versed in data architecture approaches to ingest, model and serve data from various sources including ERP (Oracle, SAP etc.), Management information system (OneStream, Targetik, etc.), Procurement systems (Coupa, Ariba, etc), CRM (Salesforce, etc.),HR systems (Workday, etc) and source systems
• Strong knowledge of core data ETL and visualisation skills- for example using tools such as SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL tools (e.g. Snaplogic, Alteryx) & PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik
• Experience in Banking and Insurance industry (IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 especially)
• Experience in data warehousing, data management, data strategy, data integration and data governance
• Proven experience in applying data architecture tools and techniques in at least one of the following areas:
  • Enterprise wide data architecture and modeling
  • Business tooling based architecture and modelling (ERPM, CRM) and integration architecture for data across heterogeneous applications
  • Reporting on Data Analytical architecture and modelling
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of senior stakeholders
• Certifications in Data Architecture (e.g. TOGAF / Cloud Certifications)
• Experience working with clients to develop data strategies for finance transformation, such as designing a Data/Analytics Operating model to support the new Target Operating Model within Finance, Information Governance organisation, or exploring the shift to cloud native 3rd party solutions
