The Position:

An established commodities trading firm is looking for an Accountant to join their team in the Singapore HQ. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will partner with other departments and work with external auditors to ensure the smooth operation of business activities.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with IFRS Prepare financial statements and assist in monthly closing, ensuring strict deadlines are met Collaborate with overseas teams to collect and analyse data for financial reporting needs Assist the Controller in managing trade finance facilities, credit lines and banking relationships Prepare management reports and conduct financial analysis of the commodities market Provide support in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audit Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Finance Manager

Skills & Experience:

You will have a bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and 3-6 years of hands-on accounting experience. A Chartered Accountant qualification, either completed or near completion, is preferred. Experience in the commodities trading sector is a plus. You will have good communication skills and will be committed and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and add value to the team.
