4 to 7 years of experience in financial accounting in large organisations.
Have demonstrated industry experience working for a large international company.

Stakeholder Management, ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, executives, and non-finance teams.
Highly proficient in the MS Suite.
Mott MacDonald\'s Finance team across the Asia region provide a trusted front line financial support service. As part of our commitment to developing and servicing our key clients, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join us in our Singapore office.
Working within a tight knit Finance team committed to the Asia business unit, with links into our wider APAC regional finance team, this newly created opportunity will see you reporting into the Regional Finance Manager and taking on areas of the statutory financial accounting.
Take action to deliver responsibilities by:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards).
Month-End and Year-End Closing: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, which may involve reconciling accounts, making adjusting entries, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial laws. Prepare and submit necessary tax returns and reports.
Financial Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations to auditors. Address any audit findings and make necessary improvements to financial processes.
Cashflow/Treasury Management: Manage the company\'s cash flow, including overseeing cash disbursements, collections, and investments to optimise the use of funds.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure the company complies with all relevant standards and requirements.
Financial Communication: Communicate financial information and insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including senior management and department heads.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special financial projects, system implementations, or process improvements.
