Financial Accounting Manager

This firm has regional presence and owns power plant that provides smart solutions to consumers.

About the Role

You will be responsible to oversee the overall finance and accounting matters for the plant, working alongside with the Financial Controller and business stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and timely record of transactions and perform analysis of financial information
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies, regulations and internal controls
• Perform monthly/yearly closing of accounts and prepare annual financial statements in accordance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
• Meet and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including audits and corporate
• Act as the technical accounting advisor to the finance team by providing updates on new and/or changes in the accounting standards and proactively manage the impact to the companies
• Support Group Finance in establishing and updating of accounting policies in line with business requirements and changes to the financial reporting standards
• Support the forecasting and budgeting processes
• Review and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
• Undertake ad hoc tasks and projects

Main requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance with certified professional membership/qualification
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Big 4, Singapore listed companies or established local firms
• Strong knowledge in SFRS
• Computer/IT knowledge in accounting systems in SAP or BPC
• Strong management, leadership, organizational and planning skills
• Persistent self-starter who is excited to guide cross functional teams through complex analysis
