Financial Analyst (1 Year Contract)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Financial Reporting & Analysis



o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and financial performance reports.



o Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.



o Develop sales, product, and profitability dashboards for commercial teams.



o Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.





2. Commercial Business Partnering



o Provide KPIs and performance tracking reports to the sales and commercial teams.



o Analyze product, customer, and regional sales trends to identify growth



opportunities.



o Collaborate with sales and management to monitor and achieve business targets.



o Offer financial guidance to optimize pricing, promotions, and sales strategies.





3. Accounting & Compliance



o Maintain accurate general ledger entries and accounting records.



o Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.



o Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IRAS,



ACRA, and internal policies.



o Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.





4. Banking & Reconciliation



o Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.



o Monitor cash flow and manage banking transactions.



o Implement internal controls to safeguard company finances.





5. Systems & Process Improvement



o Manage day-to-day accounting processes in Xero.



o Leverage SAP/ERP experience to streamline reporting, integration, and efficiency.



o Assist with digital transformation initiatives, automation, and process



improvements.





6. Ad Hoc Projects & Support



o Prepare ad hoc financial and commercial analyses as requested by management.



o Support decision-making through insights on business performance, costs, and



margins.





Requirements



o Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.



o Minimum 2-3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, ideally with



exposure to commercial reporting.



o Proficiency in Xero Accounting System (mandatory).



o Experience with SAP or other ERP systems (preferred).



o Strong understanding of P&L reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls.



o Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).



o Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for commercial teams.



o Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.



o Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
