About the role:
Support FP&A in SEA locations through the delivery of timely, accurate and relevant reporting and analysis, including preparation and review of budgets/forecasts, weekly dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis. The role is key to support FP&A matters across SEA, to allow Location Managers to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Advisor:
Influence location stakeholder decision making through the delivery of timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis.
Advise and support system and process matters that may impact FPA activities and the ability to report timely and accurately.
To advise and engage with key stakeholders, in particular Location Finance Manager and Location Management.
Advocate / Educate the finance role, in particular FPA, to identify areas to improve performance based on appropriate analysis being conducted.
Reporting:
Support the delivery of weekly location reporting and analysis through Microsoft PowerBI as coordinated by the Location Finance Leads. Set-up and participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss results and any exceptions
Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast process by working with service unit managers to develop their budget / forecast. Review submissions with Location FP&A manager prior to entry into Hyperion
Measure key KPIs for relevant location stakeholders and provide regular feedback.
Perform ad-hoc analysis for the location leadership teams as requested by Location Finance Leads.
Assist to implement effective reporting and analysis (as provided by Region) to improve understanding of actual and forecast performance, to drive future financial performance
Identify effective overhead and working capital reporting/analysis to drive productivity.
Measure key KPIs and performance drivers for the location and identified subsidiaries (where appropriate).
Provide analytics as requested for the Location Finance Leads and Location Management.
Governance:
Periodically access the internal financial control structure and highlight any exceptions with functional manager.
Maintain an appropriate level of professional scepticism when reviewing information collated from the business and external sources.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity.
Maintain high quality of presentation, clarification, and accuracy with all information disseminated.
Maintain an effective internal control framework to highlight and manage risk by providing an independent assessment of the health of the business
Ensure the necessary review and pressure testing of presented information for budgets, forecast, monthly and weekly information is conducted before issuing to the necessary stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:
Required:
Well developed analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to interpret business and technical requirements to a broad audience of stakeholders at various levels in the organisation.
Good business acumen, strong relationship building skills and a pragmatic nature.
Strong finance/accounting background and data analytics and good understanding of project and operation management.
Guide:
Minimum, 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, with at least 3+ years in FPA, to include financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organisation
Ability to work under broad or limited direction in setting work priorities.
Ability to exercise independence of action and decisions.
A recognised degree bachelors degree or masters degree or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, accounting or commerce major.
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline such as CA or CPA, management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
