About The Position

The Global Finance Services Division has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in our Singapore location. Caterpillar has exciting opportunities for business leaders who want to be challenged, make an impact, and are interested in progressing through a number of staff and managerial assignments. This position will offer you the opportunity to interact with finance leaders within Caterpillar in the areas of financial analysis, cost accounting and indirect procurement/services. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop tools in a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your leadership skills, utilizing excellent communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills as well as being a liaison with other groups throughout the enterprise.

Incumbents are exposed to a variety of accounting functions and accomplish a high level of complex and/or technical analysis, review various outputs for reasonableness and advise other accountants. Incumbent works on challenging, medium to high risk issues and makes business decisions and recommendations as appropriate. Work is supported by a supervisor primarily through review of results.

Primary Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to

Enterprise cost accounting governance with a focus on supporting the application of consistent cost methodology across the enterprise including the annual Enterprise Normals Cycle, monthly Abnormals Reporting, Annual Standard Cost Revision and product cost monitoring.

Indirect procurement/services accounting support which includes cost and savings analysis.

Liaison with business resource teams across the enterprise to provide guidance and support on actuals and forecast submissions.

Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes

Partner across the enterprise to support key projects related to Global Finance strategy initiatives

Required Skill and Experience

Degree in Accountancy/Finance, ACCA, CA/CPA, MBA-Finance or equivalent professional qualification with at least 18 hours of completed accounting coursework

2-4 years of progressive accounting and finance related experience
