Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Partner business units in preparation of business plans, forecasts & performance metrics. Provide analysis and commentaries to highlight key deltas & watchpoints on business performance.
• Prepare financial and management reports in compliance with both statutory and management requirements.
• Provide accounting policy advice, competitors/JV analysis, business case/sensitivity analysis to support management decision making.
• Prepare reports and schedules for internal HQ submission (Monthly/quarterly/Year End) and external Statistics/government agencies reporting.
• Ensure adequate controls are in place for both integrity of financial numbers and business processes including SOX controls.
• Support commercial team in Free Trade Agreement management & compliance to Singapore Custom/FTA requirements.
• Partner with offshore shared services center to ensure proper recording, due diligence & alignment on financial outcomes.
• Support general accounting such as payroll, intercompany, reconciliation, accruals and month end close, as necessary.
• Coordinate and support internal/external audits and SOX testing, as necessary.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity or external audit environment
• Strong accounting knowledge in IFRS and USGAAP and analytical skills
• Experience in using tools such as MS Office, MS Power BI and Power Apps for reporting & solving business problems
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
• Meticulous, highly reliable, and motivated team player with good follow through and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
• Some SAP experience is preferred but not essential
• Willing to work in Oronite manufacturing plant on Jurong Island
