We are looking for a Financial Analyst to strengthen our Global Performance Steering - Business Partnering team, based in Singapore.

Your Team

Within the CFO - Global Performance Steering (GPS) area, the Business Partnering team is a key contributor to foster bold and proactive steering towards the AGCS ambition. The team has a clear mandate to not only support, but also to challenge the business leaders and be a constructive finance business partner for the senior leadership team.

Job Purpose / Role

Based in one of our offices in Singapore, you will be responsible for the regional performance steering of the designated Lines of Business (LoBs) and operating entities within the Asia region. You will perform standard planning and reporting tasks as well as other value-adding analyses to provide transparency on drivers behind current and future financial performance and support the decision-making process and portfolio steering.

The position provides comprehensive insights into the LoB\'s financials & strategy and supports the respective business leaders. You will play a key role in building bridges between our Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within Global Performance Steering (GPS) and the wider finance community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analyses and assessments on the financial performance of the designated business areas, identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations.
  • Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making.
  • Perform regular P&L reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Support Head of Business Partnering Entertainment & MidCorp in providing a comprehensive view on global performance of the LoB, based on input by the Regions.
  • Address customer requests and perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
  • Support best-practice sharing and increase efficiencies, setting and harmonizing global standards.
  • Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required.
Key Experience / Requirements / Skills
  • Initial experience within the financial services industry, ideally P&C insurance, or reinsurance.
  • Understanding of insurance; sector-specific financial statements and performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical thinking and numeracy: ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g., ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and to provide value-adding insights.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders including senior management (both verbally and in writing).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to analyze data effectively and convey compelling and engaging messages.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Comfortable working in a global team setup and maintaining effective remote relationships in a matrix environment.
  • Fluent English skills, any other languages advantageous.
