Job Description

They are looking for a Financial Controller to take on the financial and operational responsibilities for the funds and management company. This will involve overseeing a small team, whilst contributing to processes and building best practices within the firm, working closely with the internal deal teams, third party service providers, limited partners, legal counsel, auditors, vendors and other external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support development of internal financial controls and their implementation
• Oversee the entities\' quarterly/monthly fund accounting
• Lead new fund launches from the fund administration perspective, including onboarding service providers, opening bank accounts, and coordinating with internal and external legal/tax teams on entity formation and fund documents
• Work with the managers to review, monitor and plan each fund\xe2\x80\x99s cash needs for investments, management fees and other operational expenses on an ongoing basis
• Oversee and review ongoing capital calls, distributions, quarterly PCAPS for all funds prepared by finance team
• Review Schedule of Investments to track and monitor investments
• Review quarterly valuations and valuation memos prepared by finance managers
• Oversee and review investor quarterly reports for financials and ensure overall consistency
• Oversee finance managers on the annual audit for the entities
• Lead person in charge of reviewing various policies and guidelines required for the Funds. Includes ongoing review of the fund\xe2\x80\x99s valuation policy, anti-corruption/bribery policies
• Work with finance team to fulfill KYC compliance and onboarding of prospective LPs.
• Monitoring of IC and investment SOP to ensure steps are completed by the Deal Team

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• 10+ years of experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and investment management industry experience.
• Experience in a Venture Capital or Private Equity firm.
• Team management experience
