The Financial Executive is responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting management in financial planning and decision-making. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy financial operations and ensuring that accounting processes are efficient and up to date.
Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage the
full set of accounts
, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records for audit and compliance purposes.
Handle day-to-day accounting operations using
Xero Accounting Software
, ensuring data accuracy and proper categorization.
2. Financial Reporting
Prepare
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
(Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Assist in the preparation of
management reports
, variance analyses, and financial summaries for decision-making.
Support year-end closing activities and liaise with external auditors.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Handle
GST / SST submissions
, tax filings, and liaise with tax authorities.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
Keep abreast of regulatory updates and advise management accordingly.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the preparation of
annual budgets and financial forecasts

Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.
Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and financial efficiency.
5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Manage daily cash flow and bank transactions.
Prepare cash flow projections to ensure adequate working capital.
Oversee payment runs and collections to maintain healthy liquidity.
6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Implement and monitor
internal financial controls
to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
Review and improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Support digitalization and automation of accounting workflows where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / Degree in
Accounting, Finance
, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an advantage.
Minimum
2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
, preferably in a corporate environment.
Must have hands-on experience using Xero Accounting Software
, including bank reconciliation, journal entries, and report generation.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general IT literacy.
