An exciting FinOps Cloud Analyst job opportunity has become available at a listed fintech company.

About the FinOps Cloud Analyst Role:
The FinOps Cloud Analyst\'s primary responsibility would be to help rationalise ongoing and new cloud spend for the APAC region, make recommendations for cloud cost optimisation, and work closely with internal teams to implement cost optimisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, supervise and improve real-time cloud cost and consumption trackers/dashboards and forecasts for executive committee briefings, corporate finance workflows and engineering transparency
• Build cost model projection on collaboration with the BU in APAC
• Synthetise and present the current cost consumption and variation analysis vs projections
• Drive cost optimisation efforts by collaborating with Finance, Global Cloud teams across the enterprise and the BU in the region, recommending and purchasing reserved instances and savings plans across Azure, AWS, Virtual Private Cloud providers
• Partner with the global cloud team to ensure appropriate tagging and alerts strategies are deployed and maintained at scale to manage costs
• Work with internal teams to accurately cost out implementations

To succeed in this FinOps Cloud Analyst role, you will need to have good experience within the cloud environment for cost optimisation, following FinOps best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology operations, Financial Operations or equivalent, with at least five years\' relevant work experience
• At least two years of experience with cloud provider technology services is preferred
• Demonstrated experience with cost optimisation
• Experience in building out a FinOps subject area within a large enterprise
• Proficient in cost management knowledge including but not limited to charge-back modelling, cost savings, trending and variance analysis and forecasting
• Practical knowledge of native cloud provider cost management capabilities and pricing models
• Experience with third-party cloud aggregator software with direct experience in anomaly detection, capacity planning and right-sizing, tagging and storage lifecycle policies, and automation
• Analytical skills to collect, coordinate and present sophisticated data to a variety of audiences
• Experience with developing KPIs and scorecards based on internal and industry benchmarks
• IaaS foundation knowledge is required (Azure, AWS)
