:Our client is an exciting fintech start-up founded by industry veterans with high calibre experience in the finance world. Our client's mission is enable the web 3 builders of tomorrow.You will be part of the leadership team of an exciting technology start-up operating in blockchain and cryptocurrency. A compelling business model, this will be an appealing opportunity for a finance lawyer looking to be at the forefront of developments in the digital economy, working alongside with top calibre and experienced professionals with demonstrated success in finance, crypto and technology.Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible to provide legal support for all aspects of the client's private credit portfolio, which includes senior unsecured, asset-backed and convertible loans to digital assets companies.
• Review, draft and negotiate documentation with respect to, and provide legal and structuring advice concerning, all private credit asset-based investments and loans, including the formation and structuring of loans, and the review and/or preparation of partnership agreements, co-lending agreements, loan documents, term sheets, non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters and other related documentation.
• Direct involvement in, and legal support for, all workouts, restructurings, forbearances, foreclosures and portfolio related litigation matters
• Act as a primary legal advisor to the Board of Directors on all legal and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate and manage outside counsel, including management of legal costs; maintain relationships with outside counsel and oversee the internal approval of all legal counsels
• Assumes secondary responsibility for the role of compliance officer.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) and minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a major international law firm or top-tier Singapore firm. Additional in-house experience at a financial institution is preferred.
• Direct transaction experience on at least one of the first three bullet points described in the primary responsibilities above is essential. Our preference is for a lawyer with either finance and/or derivatives experience.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal team, clients, counterparties and external counsels.
• Ability to skilfully manage and prioritize multiple internal and external client demands, transactions and projects.
• Exemplary analytical, creative, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
• Demonstrated business acumen and commercial instincts.
• Interest in and willingness to work on a team and independently on a broad range of legal matters/topics, some of which may be new issues.
• Keen interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain ecosystem
