About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

The role is part of UOB Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) and Global Markets (GM). He/She is part of the Team within GWMM responsible for Business Communications & Client Engagement, Segment Marketing, and Strategic Projects. He/she is also required to work closely with our stakeholders, partners, agencies and regional offices to achieve our communication and marketing objectives to support the business regionally.

  • Implement business communications strategy that includes client engagement, media outreach, digital and social media.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure messaging for business communications is consistent in promoting GWB\'s positioning and proposition and resonates both internally with stakeholders and externally with public perceptions.
  • Develop content for client engagement, including preparation of speeches and pitchbooks for business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team, business units and event agency on event management, provide advisory and curation as part of client engagement for GWB events, including pre/post-event documentation, event surveys and reporting.
  • Develop content for digital, social media marketing and campaigns, including video production.
  • Manage internal and external digital assets, including GWB\'s public website and Intranet pages.
  • Prepare communication materials for media releases, media interviews and media queries.
  • Provide industry insights, research on market outlook and trends, evaluate competitor activities, marketing and digital content.
  • Deploy successful marketing initiatives and own implementation from ideation and conceptualization to execution
  • Report on communications strategy performance
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Communications / Journalism / Marketing with at least 8-10 years of relevant business communications experience in Banking or Finance Industry
  • Excellent Writing & Communication Skills
  • Experience in content writing for all media platforms
  • Proven Social Media and Networking Expertise
  • Strong Conceptualisation and Analytical Skills
  • Strong Project, Events Management & Implementation Skills
  • Strong Managerial Skills and ability to work in large and multi-team dynamics
  • Solid knowledge of various marketing disciplines of communication, online marketing, media releases and interviews
