Job Responsibilities


To support the growth of UOB, the Talent Acquisition (TA) team are responsible for identifying and hiring the best talent in Singapore. This senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for collaborating closely with the key business leaders and managers to plan, drive and lead the talent acquisition strategy and full end to end hiring process of technology talent. The role will report to the Talent Acquisition Lead for Group Technology & Operations (GTO). The role will lead and drive delivery of some key strategic recruitment project initiatives specific to GTO talent hiring. These initiatives may span across all levels and multiple GTO segments which may include but limited to recruitment offshore, graduates, and/or executive hiring. The ideal candidate is an experienced recruitment specialist with a proven track record. You will bring strong functional experience in technology and/or operations hiring, ideally within the financial services industry. You will be a senior role model for peers and live out daily UOB’s values of being honorable, united, committed and enterprising.
What you’ll do
  • As a trusted partner, work closely with senior technology business leaders, HR business partners and colleagues on all recruitment matters.
  • Engage with a wide range of business stakeholders to discuss and shape their workforce to deliver the business strategy by building technology and operational capability
  • Plan, drive and implement recruitment strategies and initiatives within technology and operations and track measurable returns on investment.
  • Perform full cycle of the selection and hiring process which includes researching and sourcing of candidates from the various platforms and channels i.e. market mapping, manager or candidate referrals, and networking.
  • Build talent attraction programs and internal talent pipelines to support current and future business and GTO needs.
  • Anticipate challenges and provide recommended solutions to problems.
  • Work on ad hoc strategic or value adding HR/Talent Acquisition projects where required. This may include, but not be limited to, optimizing scalable hiring processes, building an employer brand, and improving the manager & candidate hiring experience.
  • Provide mentoring to junior colleagues where needed
  • Be an active team member to build the team’s culture, capability and effectiveness supporting the TA Lead.

Job Requirements


  • Degree with at least 12 – 15 years of related HR experience, preferably in recruitment. Equivalent experience and skills also considered.
  • Have demonstrated a proven track record of being a trusted advisor with exceptional client service orientation with an ability to consult, coach and influence internal stakeholders, clients, senior leaders and peers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Be able to work professionally and effectively with a variety of line managers, vendors and candidates of all levels.
  • Proactive, resilient and highly adaptable, you should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and critical thinking with an ability to identify problems & risks, consider multiple viewpoints, provide pragmatic solutions and make high quality decisions.
  • Manage divergent agendas and divergent stakeholders with win-win solution.
  • Manage organizational ambiguity and differing stakeholder views.
  • A highly structured and organised individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • A strong attention to detail and able to deliver on the full recruitment process.
  • Strong team player who is also able to work independently.
  • Systems experience with SuccessFactors and Workday would be an advantage.
