A BCA registered contractor, DPR specializes in the commercial, and life sciences markets. The Project Manager should have at least 5 years of Fit-out experience. This individual will be ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution, project controls, project engineering, cost, risk and business management of a particular project and represent the formal link with the Client. They will work closely with all members of the Project Team and Regional Leadership team and will be responsible for the following: Proposal Stage The Site Manager becomes involved at the proposal stage and is responsible for liaising with the Proposal Team regarding individual sections of the document. In conjunction with the Proposal Team, the Site Manager may prepare the method statement, oversee production of the strategic programme and will have full understanding of construction sequence being proposed. They will also advise on the organisation chart and CVs of project team members. Pre-Construction Phase

  • Establishing the Client’s expectations at the earliest opportunity.
  • Liaising with Client’s Project Manager and Design Team to gain full understanding of Project Objectives (Quality, Programme, Cost)
  • Overseeing production of Information Required Schedule and facilitates the design/construction interface
  • Contributing to the Tender Schedule, procurement, and selection of Trade Contractors
  • Reviewing information and advises on buildability, environmental and value engineering options
  • Ensuring clear and effective lines of communication and reporting are set, internally and externally
  • Overseeing the development of the methodology of construction and programming
  • Setting up and attending meetings: Trade Contractor Director Meetings; weekly or fortnightly Design and Progress Meetings; monthly Project Meetings
  • In conjunction with the FM, ensure that the Cost Monitoring Systems are established and agreed
  • Dispute resolution
  • Coordination and running of the administration functions, e.g. drawing control, secretarial, filing etc
  • Prepares and collates the monthly Project Report
Construction Phase
  • Overseeing the progress of the works, liaise with the project team, advising on and assisting in the resolution of problems
  • Ensuring relationships with the Client and their team are maintained and remain focused on the Client’s project expectations
  • Instilling a culture on the project, which provides job satisfaction and team spirit
  • Prepares and collates the monthly Project Report
Qualifications We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, manage project teams, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to create and support team morale
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite/ MS Project or Scheduling software (Primavera or similar). Accounts software (Procore or similar), would be an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in interior fit-out works or relevant construction industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project/ Construction Management, Engineering or related field
  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude
