This role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of Manulife's Asia General Account Investments team, contributing to the company's mission by supporting the growth of its investment portfolio. As a Fixed Income and Derivatives Trader, you will play a key role in executing trades, monitoring risk exposures, and developing innovative financial instruments to enhance Manulife's investment and risk management capabilities. This position provides a dynamic environment where you can make real-time business decisions, collaborate with various internal stakeholders, and directly impact the company's success.
Position Responsibilities:

• Execute fixed income and derivatives trades for Asia General Account Investments.
• Monitor and rebalance the Variable Annuity Hedging (VAH) program.
• Manage counterparty onboarding and assess broker capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address investment and risk management challenges.
• Analyze market trends and provide market intelligence to support business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in a financial services environment.
• University degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, math, science, economics, or finance).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with derivatives products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and develop proactive solutions.
• Programming ability.
• Project management experience.
