Fixed Income Investment Specialist, APAC
Summary
The Fixed Income Investment Specialist, APAC, will be responsible for actively representing, advocating for and supporting the distribution efforts for the asset class in region.

Fixed Income is a core part of our business at Aberdeen, with strong long-term investment performance and over 125 people globally. We are leaders in credit, public and private, and specialists in emerging markets, insurance and sustainability.
Aberdeen Fixed Income has a broad client base globally and is focused on growth and expansion in the wholesale channel. There is strong momentum in Wholesale in APAC and significant opportunities for further growth.
About the role
The Fixed Income Investment Specialist will act as a key link between the investment teams, the client group and product teams to drive growth in Fixed Income in APAC.
With a focus on the Wholesale channel, the role holder will be responsible for actively representing, advocating and supporting the regional distribution efforts for the asset class.
The Investment Specialist ("IS") is expected to understand the asset class, our capabilities within the asset class, our product offering and positioning relative to peers.
The IS will:Represent Fixed Income with clients and prospects, and internally with sales teams and other key stakeholders
Respond to technical client and sales queries in an accurate, timely and globally consistent manner
Lead initiatives and actively collaborate to drive the commercialisation and growth of Fixed Income in region (e.g. on new business opportunities with sales colleagues, coordinating activity on fund launches and campaigns, input to product strategy)
Prepare and seek opportunities to improve messaging and materials (market updates, insight articles, pitch decks, RFPs etc), including key data points and visualisations required
The IS will report to the Head of Fixed Income APAC with a dotted line to the Global Head of Strategy and Investment Specialists, Fixed Income. They will be part of the global Fixed Income specialist team and communicate and coordinate activities with other team members to enhance efficiency, insight-sharing and consistency of messaging across the company.

Min 5years of experience in Fixed Income investing

Able to work independently and self-start, but also with others - strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work with senior individuals in a complex global organisation
Organisation and prioritisation - of own time and supporting business prioritisation and focus

Desirable - regional fixed income market knowledge and competitor insight. Experience of working with a variety of wholesale clients, and supporting Luxembourg domiciled fund ranges
