Main Duties and Scope of Role
Conducts daily briefings and attend meetings
Prepare and assign daily tasks and monitor the daily production process and overall operation
Receiving deliveries, checking quality of flowers and treating the flowers appropriately
Assist in preparing large floral arrangements, centerpieces for hotel lobby and casino/paiza areas and other outlets
Prepare the floral arrangement/balloon artistry in a cost-effective mindset without compromising quality
Ensure that all floral displays in all public areas and guest rooms are well constructed and maintained
Ensure that the requirements of VIP arrivals and in-house guests are managed well.
Maintains flower consumption at a minimum, controls recycling of flowers and ensures accurate recording and charges for floral
Supervises the general inventory of all materials and equipment
Checks and freshens up floral arrangements in the designated areas across the property and scheduling installation change over days as necessary.
Monitor and report department shrinkage and make timely adjustments
Monitor standing orders for flowers, plants, related merchandise, supplies and raise requisitions /adjustments as required following adhering to pre-determined PAR levels.
Trained in the relevant PMS/Microsoft/POS systems and these systems are used effectively
Support and follow through with the implementation of new floral/balloon artistry arrangements
Respond to special requests for events, outlets, guests via email/telephone in a timely manner.
Keep abreast of the competition and evaluate market trends
Manages team member related issues, such as disciplinary action
Maintains good rapport with all departments and ensure that leadership are kept fully aware of all feedback from either guests or other departments.
Be proactive in safety and accident prevention. Ensure that all Team Members are adequately trained in the use of all floral tools, lifting techniques and other potentially hazardous parts of their daily work.
Ensure a clean, safe and pleasing environment for all Guests and Team Members.
Ensures that team members are always fairly treated without favour or unfair expectations.
Ensures that team members are fairly and professionally rostered and are allocated work assignments which are appropriate for their rank and capability to meet the demands expected.
Ensures high standard of personal presentation and grooming, acting as positive role model.
Perform all duties in accordance with Marina Bay Sands policies and within the realm of the Marina Bay Sands Company vision, mission and values.

JOB REQUIREMENTEducation & Certification
Professional certification in floristry, horticulture, floral design, landscape architecture or other related fields
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in international luxury hotel brands with relevant capacity and environment
Ability to successfully operate large-scale high-pressure environment with sudden change in business levels
Competencies
Good command of spoken and written English and other regional languages would be highly regarded
Strong leadership competencies
Excellent time management, organizational, communication and motivational skills
Ability to drive consistent excellence in repetitive process driven tasks
Be able to work long hours standing
