The Football Instructor is responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating structured football training sessions that are developmentally appropriate for students. The instructor will work closely with the Teacher-in-Charge to develop students' skills, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, in alignment with MOE's CCA framework and the school's values.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme Planning & Delivery
Design and implement a progressive football training programme tailored to students' age, ability, and developmental needs.
Plan and conduct regular training sessions (e.g. weekly CCA) covering skills development, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and team play.
Differentiate training for various levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) to ensure inclusive learning.
Emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive values throughout training sessions.
Incorporate assessment points and feedback opportunities to track students' progress.

2. Competition & Performance Preparation
Prepare school teams for internal and external competitions such as the
National School Games (NSG)
and friendly matches.
Conduct trials and assist in player selection in consultation with the Teacher-in-Charge.
Organize and supervise friendly matches, internal tournaments, and showcase games.
Ensure proper warm-up, cool-down, and safety protocols before, during, and after every match or training.

3. Collaboration & Administration
Work closely with the Teacher-in-Charge to coordinate training schedules, student attendance, and logistical needs.
Provide regular updates and feedback on student development and team performance.
Assist in preparing reports, training plans, and evaluation summaries for school submission.
Maintain proper discipline and ensure safety of all students during all sessions.

Integrate

(e.g., Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care, Harmony) and
Social-Emotional Competencies (SEC)
into training.
Encourage leadership, teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship among players.
Model positive behaviour and attitudes both on and off the field.
Requirements:

Qualifications
Minimum
MOE-registered Coach
or
relevant coaching certification
from FAS (Football Association of Singapore) or equivalent (e.g., AFC 'C'/'B' Licence).
Certified in
Standard First Aid
with AED competency.
For Secondary/JC programmes: FAS/AFC certification preferred.
For Primary level programmes: MOE-approved CCA Instructor certification or FAS Junior Coaching Licence acceptable.

Experience
At least
2 years of coaching experience
in schools, academies, or clubs.
Proven track record in youth football development and competition preparation.
Experience working with school-aged students and managing large groups safely and effectively.

Excellent communication and motivational skills.
Ability to design engaging, progressive, and values-based training sessions.
