Job Description

Job Scope / Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all technical aspects of formwork operations

on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design and engineering standards.

Lead a team of formwork supervisors and technicians

, providing technical guidance to ensure compliance with structural and safety requirements.

Review and interpret engineering drawings

, formwork layout plans, and specifications to develop work methods and schedules.

Manage day-to-day operations

of formwork activities, including erection, modification, dismantling, and storage, ensuring alignment with project timelines and approved methods.

Inspect formwork systems and installations

to ensure structural integrity, stability, and conformity with local codes and project requirements.

Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures

, including compliance with

WSH Act

Singapore Standards

, and other statutory requirements relevant to formwork systems.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

for formwork installation, maintenance, and dismantling, both within company premises and client sites.

Train and upskill formwork technicians

, including regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and workshops related to formwork safety and technical procedures.

Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, and subcontractors

to ensure formwork works are carried out according to schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

Liaise with formwork material suppliers and manufacturers

, ensuring the right materials and systems are selected and maintained.

Monitor usage and condition of formwork materials

, ensuring timely maintenance, repair, and replacement.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits

to identify and rectify unsafe conditions or non-compliance with engineering or safety standards.

Support in value engineering and cost optimisation

, recommending innovative formwork solutions that enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Prepare technical reports and documentation

, including method statements, risk assessments, and compliance checklists.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree

in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

in formwork systems, site supervision, or construction management. Strong knowledge of

formwork systems

, structural requirements, and

Singapore's Code of Practices and WSH regulations

. Proven experience in

leading site teams

, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Proficient in

reading engineering drawings and technical specifications

. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Good communication skills in

English and Chinese

(verbal and written); knowledge of additional languages is a plus Must be willing to work on-site and adapt to project needs and schedules. *

WSH-related certification

(e.g. BCSS, Formwork Safety Course for Supervisors) is preferred.
