Are you playful, patient, and excited about using games to teach kids how to think and code? We're looking for enthusiastic
Freelance Games-Based Coding Instructors
to teach young learners (ages
5-8
) basic coding and computational thinking using
Minecraft and/or CodeCombat
in a fun, age-appropriate way.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, loves games or technology, and believes learning should be hands-on and engaging.
No prior teaching experience required -- full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging game-based coding classes:
Guide students through simple coding concepts such as sequencing, logic, and problem-solving using
Minecraft and/or CodeCombat
with child-friendly tools.
Encourage learning through play:
Support children as they explore, experiment, and collaborate while completing guided in-game challenges.
Support young learners:
Provide clear instructions, encouragement, and gentle guidance suited to ages 5-8.
Maintain a fun, structured classroom environment:
Ensure sessions are safe, organised, and enjoyable for all students.
Collaborate with fellow instructors:
Work closely with the team to deliver consistent, high-quality lessons.
Represent the programme:
Embody our approach of learning through play, curiosity, and creativity.
Key Requirements
Interest in
games, coding, Minecraft, and/or CodeCombat
(formal coding background not required).
Comfortable learning and teaching from structured lesson plans.
Enjoy working with young children and supporting their learning journey.
Clear communication skills and a patient, positive attitude.
Reliable, responsible, and professional in classroom settings.
Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore.
Willing to undergo a background check (required for school settings).
Able to commit to
Wednesdays and/or Thursdays
afternoons (between 3 pm to 5pm) for a
minimum term of 6 months
(excluding school holidays).

Training Provided
Full training in
Minecraft and CodeCombat lesson delivery
