Compensation:
$250/month retainer (even if 0 calls) + reimbursement for parts/materials used
Additional $50 per call for 24 hours or less activation
About the Role
We are looking for 10 reliable and practical handyman to support basic maintenance and ad-hoc needs across our rental units. The role is part-time / freelance, suitable for someone with hands-on skills who can handle simple repair and troubleshooting tasks without needing specialized licenses.
Responsibilities
The handyman will be responsible for
small jobs and general upkeep
, including but not limited to:
Replacing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and basic electrical fixtures (non-licensed work).
Resetting circuit breakers, checking small electrical trips.
Minor pest control (e.g., spraying pesticide, setting traps).
Moving light furniture, boxes, or appliances.
Basic furniture assembly/dismantling (e.g., tables, shelves, bedframes).
Unclogging simple sink/shower blockages using basic tools (no plumbing overhaul).
Patching small wall holes, touching up minor damage.
Replacing door knobs, locks (non-digital), shower heads, hoses, taps.
Tightening hinges, handles, screws, or fittings.
Checking/resetting water heaters or other basic troubleshooting.
Minor cleaning or clearing after tenant move-out (basic, not full cleaning service).
Attending to simple tenant issues that require presence or light fixes.
Exclusions (Not Required)
This role does
not
cover:
Major electrical works (rewiring, licensed electrical tasks).
Major plumbing (pipe replacements, major leaks).
Aircon servicing or gas works.
Renovation, heavy construction, or licensed trade work.
Professional cleaning or painting of entire units.
Requirements
Prior handyman / maintenance experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of tools, repairs, and safety.
Able to respond flexibly (on-call, up to 6 visits per month).
Physically fit to handle light lifting, moving, and repairs.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Own basic toolkit (preferred, but can be provided if necessary).
Van/transport is a plus but not mandatory.
Compensation
$250/month retainer
, regardless of number of call-outs.
Each call-out capped at 2 hours.
Cost of parts/materials (e.g., bulbs, locks, hoses, pest control supplies) will be reimbursed with receipt.
